EVO – Project Veyrog

Autograph are proud to have been commissioned by EVO magazine to undertake their current project car. Headed up by Roger Green, this project aims to produce a car that can compete with the mighty Veyron around the EVO 'west' circuit test track. The chosen car is a MK1 Audi TT, for various reasons; in Roger's words:

"We’d find an all-wheel-drive TT, lighten it, wind it up past 400bhp, rework the suspension and brakes and in effect build ourselves a mini Veyron. (Well, if you squint they look similar and, of course, Bugatti and Audi are sister companies; we reckon that’s close enough to justify cracking open the evo piggybank.)"

Watch this space, we are very excited and honoured to be involved with this one!! Please have a look at:http://community.evo.co.uk/account/blogs/index.cfm?action=view&blogid=56BDD7CB-1422-1B3C-E4667E884A974EA6 to keep up top date with the project.

VW T300 gets 5-Stars from EVO Magazine

In their recent 'Driven' test of our MK5 Golf GTi T300 demonstrator, EVO magazine gave the car top marks and an impressive 5-Stars!

John Barker wrote: ”If you’re a mk5 Golf GTI driver feeling a bit off the pace since the arrival of the new Focus RS, Autograph Cars may have what you need. And I don’t mean five litres of fluorescent green paint and a skip full of spoilers.

If you peeled off the stickers all you’d really notice is the different wheels, but a lot has been done to this Golf in all the right areas. It produces an unequivocal 305bhp yet retains the regular engine’s characteristics and manners, while the gearshift is shorter and crisper and the uprated ten-pot Tarox front brakes work harder. Polyurethane bushes are fitted to the front suspension arms and the rear gearbox mount, and there are shorter Eibach sports/road springs, too.

The upshot is that this Golf drives just like the regular version, only more so. There’s more bite and more conviction but no loss of comfort or usability. I love it, especially the auxiliary boost gauge that sits atop the steering column and perfectly matches the stock, blue-lit dials. You’d think it was from the factory, and the same goes for the whole kit...”

We are extremely proud to receive top marks from EVO, making all the hard work getting the MKV T300 just right worth it. The T300 package is available for the MkV and the new MkVI, check out the full review online at:
